WHAT IS TOP KNOT STYLE YARN MADE WITH?

Cowls, scarves and blankets are made with a very fine, loosely wound, vegan acrylic yarn. It feels nearly identical to merino wool roving making it an ideal alternative to those with sensitives to wool or prefer a vegan option. 

HOW MUCH DOES MY COWL/SCARF/BLANKET/YARN WEIGH?

Yarn: 250g per hank

Cowls: 250g

Infinity Scarves: 1.1 lb

Mini Lap Blankets: 2.5 lbs

Large Luxe Blankets: 5.5 lbs

HOW DO I WASH & CARE FOR MY BLANKET?

The most commonly asked question: how do I wash my blanket?

Please take extra care and remember that your throw blanket is a delicate, handmade decorative throw created with a very loosely spun roving. This type of yarn is what makes your throw squishy, lofty and fluffy.

With this extreme fluffy softness comes a few rules if you want to keep your blanket looking beautiful. Due to the nature of roving yarn, flyaways and pilling is normal and they can be gently pulled off or trimmed with scissors.  

To reduce wear and keep it looking its best, please be gentle. The heavier the use, the more damage your blanket will show. This means don't allow your blanket to rub on other fabrics, please don't let your pets or kids use them roughly even though they're adorable! and be sure to keep it up off the floor and away from any high traffic areas in your living room or bedroom. Top Knot Style blankets are decorative pieces, not bedding. 

Since our yarn is not manufactured in large quantities your blanket or yarn hank may have small knots attaching pieces of yarn together. This is normal. There also may be variations of thickness of yarn. This is also normal and not a defect. 

Dry cleaning or spot cleaning by hand in cool water with a gentle liquid detergent is recommended. Gently squeeze (do not wring!) or roll in a towel to remove excess water then lay flat to dry.

Do not machine wash or dry or use any bleaching products.

All of my items are carefully handmade, one piece at a time. It is therefore quite difficult if not impossible to make identical items.  Even though every effort is made to create each item as pictured in this store, small differences in yarn tension, thickness and size may occur but all a part of what makes each piece of a handmade product charming and unique. The pictures may not be identical to the product you receive as there may be differences in computer monitor settings.

Shipping is available within Canada and the US (excluding NWT, Nunavut, Hawaii and Alaska)  For shipping fees outside of these countries please contact me at info@topknotstyle.ca

WHERE IS MY ORDER?

Thank you so much for your order! You can check your order status by clicking on the link in your original confirmation email. That confirmation email and all correspondence from us will go through the email that you used when you ordered, so please check that email’s inbox and spam folder.

Every item is made to order and we aim to have all items shipped as soon as possible.

Current timelines:

Cowls, Scarves & Toques: Some items are ready to ship otherwise 1-2 weeks plus shipping time. 

Blankets: 2-4 weeks plus shipping time. Current turn around time as of September 2017: 2 weeks. 

If you need your item in a hurry please send me an email to chat after you place your order. I will try my best to help you if you need a rush order.

WILL I HAVE TO PAY DUTIES?

Top Knot Style unfortunately cannot be held responsible for any brokerage, duty fees or taxes that may be applied to your purchase outside of Canada.  This responsibility rests with the customer when choosing to purchase items from another country - it is your country's taxes that you may have to pay to bring in your item.  If you have any questions please contact your local customs office for more information.

WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?

All major Canadian and non-Canadian credit cards & Apple Pay.  If you are a Canadian resident you can send your payment amount via email money transfer to info@topknotstyle.ca if you prefer. 

I'M IN THE US. WHY IS MY ORDER IN CAD CURRENCY WHEN I REACH THE CHECKOUT?

Be sure to choose your currency when shopping, but please note that since Top Knot Style is located in Canada when you reach the checkout your order will be displayed in Canadian funds. Don't worry - when your credit card company bills you it will be converted to USD if you live in the United States just like if you were in person shopping in Canada with your credit card. 

RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS

We are unable to offer refunds, exchanges or cancellations due to the hand made nature of our products.   

CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER LOCALLY?

Local pickup is available. If you live in the Edmonton, Spruce Grove or Stony Plain area please email info@topknotstyle.ca to make arrangements.
